A pupil's account will be temporarily locked if they try to repeatedly log in with an incorrect password. The account will be locked for 9 minutes and then will automatically unlock and the child can try logging in again.

    • Click 'Unlock' in the red bar which displays the message 'The account is locked for the next x minutes due to unsuccessful login attempts. Unlock'.
    • Click 'Save Changes'

If there is no red bar displaying this message then the account has not been locked (or has already automatically unlocked itself) and the pupil can try logging in again.

Class Community pages and features

  • Our Class Blog is out of order- why?

The reason the blog entries are not showing in date order is because some of them have been given a category. So all the entries without a category are showing at the top of the blog, and any which have been given a category appear under a new heading further down the blog (and any which share that same category will appear chronologically under that heading too).

If you want all the blogs to appear in date order with the latest at the top, please go into the blog entries and remove the categories.

  • Can we disable the Pupil Rewards Leaderboard for a particular class?

Unfortunately it is not possible to switch off leaderboards for specific communities or children.

We can switch it off for the whole school if requested, which means the children can still see their own rewards, but will no longer be able to see the leaderboard.

The teachers will still be able to give rewards and view the leaderboard as usual.

Please let us know if you would like to switch the leaderboard off for the whole school and we will be happy to action this for you.

Pupil Homepages

  • How can I archive a pupil's work in their 'My Work' area?

Pupils work from their 'My Work' area can be archived and removed by following these steps:

    • Navigate to the pupil's DB Primary homepage and click into their 'My Work' area.
    • Click the cogs icon in the top right corner.
    • Select all the files you wish to archive by ticking the boxes to the left of the file names.
    • Click the 'Archive All' button. This will then download a zip file of all those files so that you have a record of them.

Learning Library and Tasks

  • How do I change the year group limit for the Learning Library activities for my class?

To change the year group limit on Learning Library activities please ask the class teacher to do the following:

    • Click into the Learning Library from their teacher homepage
    • Click the 'Class' tab along the top and select 'Self-Learning' from the dropdown list
    • Use the 'Set Year Limit' button to choose the year limit for the entire class

If you would like to set individual year limits for individual children then you can click the cog icon to the right of their name and set a limit for that specific child.

  • Why can’t I assign tasks to my class?

The ‘My Class’ tile on your teacher homepage will show you which class you are currently assigned to. The first step is to ensure the children in your class appear in this tile. If they do not, then you will need to click the 3 dots in the bottom right hand corner of the tile and choose ‘Change Class’. You can then use the dropdown menu to select the correct class.

If your class does not appear in this list, it may be because you are not a Leader of that class community and will need to be added into the members’ area for that community.
