Our 8.8.3 product release went live on 17/07/2019 - This release includes general bug fixes and performance enhancements across the product range.
Important notice – SchoolPing app support on Android devices
In conjunction with the 8.8.3 release, a new version of the SchoolPing app 1.8.4 (Owl) has also been released. From this release onwards we will no longer be supporting versions of Android below 5.1.1 (Marshmallow).
After the release, devices running unsupported versions of Android will not be able to upgrade or install the latest version of the SchoolPing app.
Ending support means that after this date New Era will not actively test SchoolPing against Android versions 5.1.1 and older, or fix bugs related to these versions. Android 5.1.1 was released 12th November 2014.
We are making this decision to ensure we can continue to deliver market-driven features and meet the demands of our customers quickly, reliably and securely.
